We were delighted to welcome back former student, Jonathan Davies, OH 1997-2007, who attended Hymers before moving to Cambridge to study Languages. After finishing his four year degree with a First, he continued his education at BPP Law School. Jonny is now a Managing Associate at Addleshaw Goddard, an international law firm.
Jonny spoke to the students about his career path in to working in Technology Commercial Contracts and he covered the importance of work experience. He shared his own experience with graduation recruitment and he reiterated the value of all work experience, not just law experience, which still demonstrates a strong work ethic and a varied skill set, and talking about something you are passionate about - eg a sport/hobby.
Thank you, Jonny, for sharing your experience, you have definitely given the students something to think about for their next stages of education and work.
