What a fantastic way to kick off the new season! Last Saturday, the Hymers Old Hymerians team returned to the pitch to face off against the current 1XI in our annual competitive President's friendly.

It was a brilliant showcase of talent spanning generations, packed with sharp skills, high energy, and classic Hymers grit. The final score was 1-1. While both teams fought hard for the win, the match was played in the absolute best spirit, proving that no matter how long ago you put on the shirt, the Hymers hockey legacy runs deep. A massive thank you to everyone who played, supported, and made the day special. Here’s to an incredible season ahead! 

Wishing the absolute best of luck to all of our 2026 leavers as you take your next steps! Whether you’re moving to new cities, starting university, launching apprenticeships, or taking on fresh adventures, we could not be prouder of everything you’ve achieved during your time here. While you might be moving on to new places, remember you’ll always be part of the school family. A huge thanks to Lydia Stanley who organised the leavers team to come back - some of them already at University and nipped home for the weekend - Thanks, Florence!
