After a year's break, Charlotte Fong and Lester Bartlett, from Hymers College's Music Department recently hosted the Hymers Recital Club in October. They were joined by current music teacher, Pietro Lusvardi playing the double bass, with John Holbrook on the drums, to form a jazz quartet.
The evening was a great success and they had a good audience, raising just under £100 for the schools charities, Cash for Kids and WISHH (Working Independently Supporting Hull Hospitals).
Fabulous music and great fun too. Learning the music for a one-off event must be a lot of work for the teachers, but their enjoyment and enthusiasm made sure we all had as much fun as they evidently did!
I’m looking forward to the next Hymers Recital Club event.
