It was a pleasure to welcome back Mr Morris, Headmaster from 1990–2006, to the School over the Easter break. Although he has returned on several occasions for our Annual Dinners, this visit offered him the chance to see the School during the day and to reflect on the many developments and changes made since his retirement.
John was delighted to be joined by his son, Chris Morris OH (1985–95), and grandson Tai, who travelled from Canada to help celebrate John’s recent special birthday. Three generations enjoyed a memorable tour of the School, visiting his portrait in the Main Hall, the Morris Room in the LRC, and exploring the impressive new Junior School facilities.
A visit to the archives proved to be a particularly special moment, allowing John and Chris to discover photographs of themselves and to reminisce about classmates, colleagues, and teachers from their time at the School.
We were delighted to welcome the Morris family back to Hymers and wish Mr Morris a very Happy Birthday, with our best wishes for a joyful celebration surrounded by family.
