| Life After Hymers |
We were delighted to hear from Old Hymerian, Dr Zoya Awan (OH 1999–2009). She is the Medical Director and co-founder of Secret Aesthetics, a clinic in Birmingham. Zoya is an award-winning medical doctor, academic researcher, and businesswoman. She is known for combining her clinical work with evidence-based, scientific approaches in aesthetics. After securing her academic respiratory foundation training, she has presented her work in alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency and lung cancer nationally and internationally and co-authored for the Encyclopedia of Gastroenterology.
Zoya is also the founder and director of Secret Aesthetics, winner of Clinic of the Year at the national English Hair and Beauty Awards 2018 and launched the '1% for a Smile' Project with international charity Operation Smile raising money for free cleft lip and cleft palate surgery for children across the world. Everything Zoya has achieved is not only inspiring but her constant drive and diversity makes her a role model for many.
We are proud to share that she is leading a winter emergency appeal to provide critical support to vulnerable families. Your donation can help supply essentials like warm clothing, food, and medical care.
If you can help her make a real difference this winter Zoya is fundraising to deliver emergency aid and would appreciate any donations of support via the link below.
