Why we need your support
We're aiming to raise £50,000.00. So far we've raised £1,531.00
For almost 132 years Hymers has provided an outstanding education to bright and hardworking young people. A flagship school of the North, Hymers has long symbolised excellence, raising aspirations and creating opportunities. Hull is the fourth most deprived area in the UK and with disadvantage deepening, access to a Hymers education represents a transformational opportunity for the children on our doorstep to make the most of their potential.
Our School community is invited to come together for Hymers first Giving Day, raising money to fund bursary places. It's an opportunity for everyone to act, so that collectively we can transform the lives of talented children in Hull, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.
We will be running challenges throughout the two days and inviting everyone to get involved.
Our School is as diverse and multi-faceted as the world outside our gates; our bursary programme ensures deserving children who will enrich our community are a part of that.
We are asking Old Hymerians, parents and friends of Hymers to make a difference this Giving Day. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will contribute towards providing a bursary place which will transform young lives through a Hymers education.

If 25 donors give before the official launch, we will unlock £1,000 of match funding

Our first 5 donations of £500 will unlock £2,000 of match funding

First 25 donors to set up a monthly standing order unlocks £1,000 of match funding

When 50 donors U25 donate £50 we will unlock £2,000 of match funding

If 35 alumni donate globally we will unlock £2,000 of match funding

When we reach 200 donors £3,000 will be unlocked of match funding

Hymers will celebrate Giving Day by joining in a fun-filled Colour Run if we raise £3,000 from their entry fees we will unlock £3,000 match funding
The Treelined West Drive Garden within our grounds will be enjoyed by children for generations to come. We are asking our alumni to support our Giving Day by purchasing one of 30 native English trees (Oak, Copper Beech and Cherry) for £400. This generous donation will secure an invitation to the Garden tree-planting morning. During the morning, we will also unveil a permanent commemorative plaque to celebrate your donation. The purchase of one of these beautiful trees makes you a permanent part of our School’s history in a unique way. We hope our Giving Trees will inspire others to consider supporting Hymers and contribute to changing a child’s life.
