Ruth's talk to The Law Society

Ruth Day née Chester (OH 1990-1997) returned to speak to our sixth form students

We were delighted to welcome Ruth Day née Chester (OH 1990-1997) back to school to speak to our Sixth Form Law Society. Ruth spoke to the students about her career in law since leaving Hymers and her work at Capsticks.

Ruth now works in medical negligence with large claims working with national trusts. Ruth works with caseloads of up to 30 million and shared her experience working with surveillance to detect fraudulent claims.

Ruth gave some valuable tips and advice to our students about gaining work experience in a variety of places and trying every area of law as you may surprise yourself. Also some valuable advice for writing your CV and using LinkedIn early to start to build a network for work shadowing and final placements.

Great to have you back, Ruth. Thanks so much for spending time with our students.
