I Ieft Hymers College in 2019 with three A-Levels and an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), and commenced my law degree at Northumbria University. I graduated with a first-class Masters and LLB in Law in May 2023 and I have also completed the Legal Practice Course alongside my studies at university. 

Following my travels around Tuscany and then Thailand, I commenced my role at Samuel Phillips Law in the Employment and Litigation department in September 2023 as a Paralegal, working closely with the head of department on a range of cases. I recently accepted a training contract at the firm which began in July 2024 and I am currently completing the Professional Skills Course alongside this. 

My work at Samuel Phillips Law focuses mainly on chancery work, which involves disputes over property, wills and the administration of estates, commercial disputes such as trusts, companies, partnerships and insolvency, as well as contentious and non-contentious Employment matters for both the individual and companies. I also have experience in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.

I very much enjoy carrying out my own advocacy and have successfully represented clients in court in possession type claims, recently in Gateshead, Newcastle Barras Bridge, and Durham. I hope to continue and develop my advocacy skills. I am enjoying my work at the firm and look forward to qualifying as a solicitor in July 2026.

I very much valued both my education at Hymers College, and the people I met who I consider some of my best friends. Hymers played a significant part in preparing me for both university and working at a law firm. I am very thankful to have continued my education at Hymers through to Sixth Form, which I would have been unable to do without the support and assistance of the headmaster at the time, David Elstone, who put me forward for, and helped me with the application process of the Rank Foundation Leadership Scholarship. The Rank Foundation was founded by Arthur Rank, later known as Lord Rank, who was a flour miller and film maker. The scheme funded the education of individuals who would have to leave private education due to affordability. This meant I was able to continue my education at Hymers!
