Three lifelong friends and Old Hymerians - Maddie Clark, Ruby Stead and Rabail Ahmed are taking on the Great North Run to raise crucial funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Having first met at Hymers College at age 8, the trio has been inseparable ever since. This cause is deeply personal to the group: they are running for Ruby, who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth. Despite the demands of their university studies, the girls are rallying together for the 13.1-mile challenge:
Ruby has just graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in English and Sociology, Maddie is currently studying Psychology at the University of Stirling and Rabail is studying Mental Health Nursing at Sheffield Hallam University. Every donation goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Maddie, Rabail and Ruby were at Hymers together from 2003 - 2013.
