It was an honour to have Tom Kitching OH (2003-10)  speak to our Sixth form students recently about his Engineering pathway since leaving Hymers. Tom spoke to our students who are considering a range of Engineering routes after Hymers and were delighted to be able to talk to Tom first hand about his experience. 

Tom graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Experience (MEng) with Honours. He is currently a senior consultant at the renewable energy engineering consultancy, Fichtner Consulting Engineers. He is responsible for project managing a variety of due diligence projects for varying clients across many technologies, most recently including energy from waste, solar, battery storage, biomass, gas engines, and some emerging sectors.
