We were thrilled to hear from Storm Dominique Hayward (2003- 2012) and catch up with her Engineering pathway since she left Hymers.

Whilst at Hymers Storm studied Maths (A*); Further Maths (A); French (A); Physics (A); Product Design (B) which helped secure her next step on her Engineering career path. Storm graduated from Bath University with a 1st Class Honours in Civil Engineering and is now working as a Senior Structural Engineer at Buro Harrold. Aftter completing an Industrial placement here during her studies, she then joined Buro Harrold in a graduate role over 7 years ago.

After studying Architecture at the University of Baths she then switched to Civil Engineering. She has been involved in numerours projects in her career so far including:

  • Currently overseeing the site phase of the Allen Stand at Lord’s Cricket Ground
  • Involved in the early stage design of International Quarter London North, which is a large scale residential development in Stratford and has now been approved for planning.
  • Working on the Krizevac Project and their new technology campus, including a six month sabbatical on site in Malawi overseeing the construction of the first building on the site.
