I’ve officially completed my Master of Research (MRes) in Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation at UCL!  I’ve had the best year studying, finishing it off with my final research project at the Natural History Museum with Dr Gavin Broad. My project looked at changes in morphology of UK parasitoid wasps and their hosts over more than 150 years, using specimens from natural history collections to explore how they may be responding to environmental and ecological change. To top off a really exciting year, next week I’ll be starting a new position at the University of Cambridge as a Digitiser working with British insect and plant specimens. I’m really looking forward to getting started and continuing to work with natural history collections. 🦋🌿

I loved my time at Hymers, especially time spent with the Biology Department, which really helped grow my love for the subject. I’m also super grateful to all the teachers who taught and supported me throughout my time at school and made it such a special experience. Thank you everyone!
