In December 2023, Ben Mays, OH 1997-2007 returned to speak to our aspiring medics to talk about his career as a paramedic.
After leaving Hymers College in 2007, Ben continued his education at Leeds Beckett University, gaining a Master of Sciences degree in Sports Therapy. During his degree, he specialised in rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.
Ben spent the next 4 years working in roles as a strength and conditioning coach before returning to university at Wolverhampton as a student paramedic.
He spoke to the students about his career since leaving Hymers, with a particular focus on his career as a paramedic.
