Have you heard our new organ at Hymers College?

A new organ has been donated to Hymers College

A Viscount Envoy 350SV organ was installed over the Christmas holidays (2021), after a generous donation for a new organ to Hymers College.

It has 3 manuals (keyboards), allowing an even greater breadth of options when it comes to producing different sounds. Unlike the previous organ, this one also has bass speakers housed underneath the stage.

It is the same make and model as the organ currently being used in Hull Minster.

For the staff and Old Hymerians, this will bring back memories of Mr O'Byrne playing in the school assemblies.

Please see the below video of the organ being played by Lester Bartlett, one of our brass and piano teachers.
