Since leaving Hymers College after her A Levels, Hattie Roberts, OH 2014-21 has continued her studies at Northumbria University.  She is now a final year student studying towards a degree in BSc (Hons) Real Estate.

As part of her studies, over the last year, she completed a 12-month industry placement, which was extended to 13 months, at the Savills HQ in London. There, she was fortunate enough to sit in two teams, Retail Lease Consultancy (on the commercial pathway) and BTR Property Management, which allowed her to help manage rental buildings for their client, as well as helping operationally. She has now returned to university life, but will be heading back to London in September 2025 to start the Savills' Graduate Scheme.

During her time in Retail Lease Consultancy, she gained invaluable insights into market trends, negotiations and client relations, all while enhancing her problem solving skills. Her time in BTR Property Management then deepened her knowledge of the operational and strategic side of residential management. This allowed her to experience the role of an RSM (Resident Service Manager), leading on the launch of a new resident app across the portfolio.

Prior to her industry placement, Hattie had already taken part in a month-long Commercial Internship after her first year of university studies as a Quantity Surveyor at Hobson and Porter Ltd. This helped enriched her understanding of the Industry and broadened her knowledge in financial management, as well as working as a team.
