Andrew Plaistowe left Hymers in 1995 after a full tenure at Hymers since Junior School. many of us will remember Andrew as a star of the Drama department and a talented artist. Andrew's father, uncle, cousins and Great Uncle attended the school so there are many Plaistowe memories amongst these walls.
Andrew is now teaching English at HIghgate school and enjoyed a trip to his old classroom in A1. This is where he was taught by Mr King and Mrs Chorlton - teachers who aspired him to go in to teaching (particularly after Judi Dench whispered quietly to him "to consider an acting career carefully") when he met her at the opening of the theatre in 1995.
It was a pleasure to show you round, let you climb up the gym bars, listen to you recite the school prayer and find your old locker 26 years later Andrew! We look forward to seeing you in the new term to deliver an assembly to the school.
