Simon Chester, OH 1988-94, is jumping out of a plane to raise money for Bosom Family Support (BFS) at Hope House, who have supported his wife whilst going through treatment for breast cancer. The 15000 feet tandem skydive will take place on 21 October 2023.
BFS has provided both practical and emotional support for Simon's family and is there for anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer.
As a family this has been one of the most difficult years we have faced. The support provided by this charity has helped and continues to help us through it. The charity have been amazing, providing domestic cleaners at home, weekly meals, counciling, etc. I felt that it was time to give back.
Every single penny will go to the charity. I have paid for the skydive myself as I wanted to give something back for all of the care, resources, and emotional assistance they have provided that has made an immense difference in our lives.
That is why I am doing the skydive.
Thankfully, Simon's wife has had the all-clear but her journey with treatment is not finished yet. We wish her and Simon the best of luck.
