Elinor Kirby was at Hymers College from 2005 until 2015, and is the guest vocalist for an evening of iconic music from stage and screen.  East Riding Concert orchestra, an extremely talented and experienced group, were looking for a vocalist and Elinor was recommended to join them.

The concert, I just sort of fell into it really! I perform a bit around the area with Hessle Theatre Company and I work for a princess entertainment small business and as a local dance teacher as well. This is all simply extra fun bits on the side of my day job, really nothing wild! 

My sing through with the musical director was a blast, so I’m really looking forward to performing in a concert environment again, for the first time since Covid ripped through the world!

My time at Hymers was a lovely time; I wouldn’t say too much different from most students! I have always been grateful my parents could pay for my time there as it was a lovely place to learn and grow up.  It really helped my academic and musical knowledge, so I will always be extremely grateful for that!
