Life After Hymers |
The school Law Society welcomed back alumna Amelia Simmons who was at Hymers College from 2012 until leaving in 2021. Amelia spoke about her first year at Bristol University, where she is studying law and has joined the University of Bristol Law Club.
Amelia shared her experience of her first year as a student and spoke fondly of her time at Bristol, sharing the current league tables with her former peers. She is loving her time at the university and highly recommends it as a university.
Mrs Dickinson and Mr Hambleton were delighted to welcome her back and hear from her after leaving last year.
While at Hymers, Amelia was chairperson of the Debating Society and helped deliver training sessions to the younger debaters. She also attended competitions and organised viewing debates as well as advertising the society. She has continued debating, becoming the Freshers' Representative for Bristol Debating Union.
Thank you for returning, Amelia.
