What a joy it was to hear from the Class of 1996 -  Old Hymerians who left 30 years ago and gathered recently for a fantastic reunion on Humber Street in Hull recently. Over 50 of them came together, some seeing each other for the first time since leaving Hymers. The evening was organised by a dedicated group of 1996'ers who came together to find everyone from across the globe, well done to team organisers- Vic Strickland, Helen Sivell Thompson, Su Harper Clarke, Jane Warne, Vikki Bastiman and Luke Jacobs. This was no mean feat! 

Former Head Boy, Professor Amitava Banerjee and Head Girl, Susan Harper Clark gave heartfelt speeches to their former class friends.  Many turned the event into a full weekend, including a nostalgic visit back to school for the OH reunion lunch at Hymers during the day.

A global trip for some, including Aimee Jefferson who came over from Hong Kong and Amber Smith from Australia - what a fantastic effort! It wonderful to see how many of them are still the best of friends, with some now Hymers parents too. It was great to see and hear from so many of you who had travelled back to Hull for the occasion.

This year group certainly know how to party!  Don't leave it so long next time and we hope to see you again back at Hymers very soon.
