Remember, Remember! at Hull Truck Theatre

Remember, Remember! was written by Ross Tomlinson (OH 2005-12) and three friends last year. The response to the show so far has been amazing. They have had 2 sell-out runs in London, and they are taking the show to Edinburgh Fringe this year, before a transfer back to London for 3 weeks in November, at a very exciting venue that they cannot announce yet!

We’ve been invited to perform at Hull Truck Theatre for one night as part of their Pride Month programming. On a personal note, I’m so excited to be performing back home and down the road from Hymers!

Gather around the bonfire, girlies! It's time for a history lesson. It's November, 1605. Some rebellious Catholics are on a mission to overthrow King James I and his protestant tyranny.  Thought you knew the story of The Gunpowder Plot? Well, think again! Did you know that really, really, it involved musical numbers? Forbidden love? Lorraine Kelly?

Expect explosive action in this ridiculously camp new musical by WIT? - four razor-sharp actor-writers from Fringe-favourite comedy show,.

My drama teacher at Hymers, Miss Catlin, was absolutely instrumental in encouraging me to pursue my dream of working in theatre - I can honestly say that she’s had a huge impact on my life, and I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now if it wasn’t for her. She cast me in countless productions, plays and musicals - Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Punk Rock, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and even an opera - The Magic Flute (see the incredibly embarrassing pictures attached). It was like being at drama school, being able to play all sorts of characters across different genres.

Having Miss Catlin as my A Level drama teacher was also my first experience of creating my own theatre work - I remember our A Level class created a devised theatre piece for our final exam. I’d love to time travel and tell myself that all these years later I’d have written my own musical with three writer and performer friends, and we’d be stopping at Hull Truck on our way to Edinburgh.

Performance info: 18th June 2026, 7pm - Age guidance: 16 +, tickets available at -   Remember, Remember tickets
