Ten years ago, our parent and Old Hymerian community came together with a shared vision: to create a dedicated space where students could learn, reflect, and connect. Today, the Learning Resource Centre stands as a testament to that generosity and collective belief in education. Its very existence was made possible by the remarkable support of our donors and benefactors, whose names are proudly displayed within the building as a lasting reminder of their commitment.
What began as an ambitious fundraising effort has grown into one of the most valued spaces at School. Hundreds of senior school students pass through its doors each day, before school, after school, and throughout the day. They use the building as a place to study, collaborate, read, or simply pause for a moment of reflection.
It has become a social hub, a quiet refuge, and an academic anchor all at once. With a cafe alongside it for lunch for Sixth Formers, after school tuck shop or an event space, we are hugely grateful for this facility.
Thank you as ever, that has supported us in all of our fundraising efforts and remained invested in Hymers many years after you walked the corridors.
