We were saddened to hear of the passing of Anne Stanyon former Head of History on Wednesday 16th July 2025. Anne taught at Hymers from 1989 to 2009 and remained good friends with many former students and teachers.
STANYON (Donaghcloney) Anne Dr., 16th July 2025, peacefully at Evora Hospice Care Newry, late of Lagan View, Donaghcloney and formerly Coventry, Banbury and Hull England. Dearly beloved daughter of the late Fred and Jesse (Coventry), much loved cousin, neighbour, friend to many and treasured friend of Joanne (Jo). At Anne’s own request, the house and funeral will be strictly private please.
Donations in lieu of flowers if desired, payable to Evora Hospice Care and forwarded to George Preston Funeral Directors, 1 Main Street, Bessbrook BT35 7DJ.
