For Millie Eason, the last few months have been an exciting time. She recently received a First in her masters dissertation that discussed the injustices and inequalities presented in the law on consent and deception in sexual relationships and she has also gained employment with a firm of solicitors in Newcastle.
I have recently started a new position as a clinical negligence paralegal at TRUE Solicitors which I am very much enjoying. The role consists of supporting solicitors in preparing and progressing cases, performing clerical tasks, as well as legal research and investigation of cases. I aim to gain experience from this role to later further my career as a trainee solicitor.
I am very excited to be graduating in July with a first class masters in law!
Millie started at Hymers College in 2014 and stayed at the school until she completed her A Levels in 2019. During her time at Hymers, she participated in the Hockey Team and became a Lance Corporal in the Army Cadets. During in the Sixth Form, she was also active in the Debate Team.
After leaving Hymers College, she went to study law at Northumbria University, where she made the Honour Roll Student, for the top 10% grades in the cohort. She was also the president of ELSA (European Law Students Association) Northumbria for Moot Court Competitions and a student legal advisor at the University Student Law Office.
Congratulations and good luck, Millie.
