Stuart Matthewman, a well-known Old Hymerian of Hymers College in Hull, rose to international fame as the songwriter, guitarist and saxophonist for the iconic band Sade. Stuart Matthewman's musical talent has contributed significantly to the band's worldwide recognition.

But, did you know that he and Sade also played at Live Aid in 1985, which was a memorable moment in music history! He was also joined on stage by his brother Gordon, who is also an OH and a fabulous trumpet player.

Stuart also played in Hull Band The Odds, which featured guitarist and OH, Jonathan Leafe, also a current Governor of Hymers College, and Keiran Moses, father of OH Rory, who is also a distinguished musician.
