Life After Hymers |
Last year, Dominic started on his project to produce a recording of his piece “Coronavirus String Quartet”. Now, less than a year later, and thanks to 54 backers, pledging over £2000, his recording is now available to download on all major streaming services.
"Coronavirus String Quartet" is a musical reflection on the communication issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. From awkward zoom calls, to perspex screens. From self isolation to social distancing, not being able to see loved ones face to face for months on end and then struggling to hear and lipread through masks.
The pandemic has had an enormous human and financial cost and I believe the repercussions will not be fully felt for years, if not decades.
This string quartet is my small way of trying to bring some beauty from such an ugly situation.
