Alumnus, Henry Morris zoomed in from Philadelphia to speak to our 6th Form Engineering Society.
Henry is a Structural Engineer at SNC-Lavalin based in their North America Industrial Division. Having worked on a number of projects in the United States and the United Kingdom, Henry has expertise in a range of markets including industrial, commercial, transportation and residential as well as multifaceted materials, codes and structural software. Recent projects include the design of a 25,000 sqft office building outside of Boston, MA for a pharmaceutical client, the design of a 12 storey dry pet food factory in Tennessee and an expansion to an existing confectionary factory in Elizabethtown, PA.
Before joining SNC-Lavalin in the United States Henry worked on a number of projects in London including the renovation of superstructures within the Crossrail North East Section, scheme design of a 25000 sqm higher education college, and the detailed design of a modular residential product using BIM to improve efficiency and project delivery.
