I joined Hymers College in Year 4 in 2005 and stayed right through to completing my A Levels in 2015, so Hymers was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. After leaving Hymers, I went on to the University of Leeds where I read French and Italian, and since then have been working in Advertising at ITV - a dream role for someone who loves everything TV and Cinema!

On Sunday 25th April 2027, I will be running the London Marathon for Rays of Sunshine with a target of raising £2500 in donations. Rays of Sunshine is a wonderful charity that help brighten the lives of children aged 3–18 who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses across the UK. The money we raise will help the charity grant magical wishes and provide support to children and their families in hospitals and hospices, creating moments of happiness during incredibly difficult times.

Hymers taught me a lot about resilience, determination and the value of pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. Those are qualities I’ve carried with me long after leaving school, both in my career and now as I take on the challenge of training for the London Marathon.

I’m really looking forward to representing the Old Hymerians on the start line in London and, most importantly, raising as much as possible for Rays of Sunshine.
