Life After Hymers |
Before pursuing Architecture, I completed a year studying Business, also achieving a 2:1, before realising that my true passion lay in the built environment and design. The past three years studying Architecture have been an incredible journey — filled with growth, creativity, and invaluable experiences both in terms of studying and extra-curricular activities. I'm excited to take the next step and see where this path leads.
I'm thrilled to share that I have been awarded the Robert P. Nicholls Travel Bursary as the sole recipient at this year’s Liverpool School of Architecture End of Year Degree Show.
My research proposal, “How does Japan’s architecture use natural materials to create different types of experiential space?”, examines the role of natural materials in shaping sensory and spatial experience within Japanese architecture.
This bursary presents a unique opportunity to undertake a funded field research in Japan. I look forward to presenting my research findings at the University next year. Thank you to the head of the Architecture school, Professor Ola Uduku.
