We were saddened to hear of the passing of Old Hymerian (1963-1969) , Charles William Walton. Charles died on 10th November 2025, peacefully in hospital at Cottingham, aged 74 years of Bridlington. A dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great -great-uncle, and a good friend to many. Will be sadly missed.
Service at St Oswald's Church, Flamborough on Monday 1st December at 12 noon, followed by private cremation.
It is with great sorrow that Bill Walton after a short illness has passed away. Bill had been Ringing all his life and at least for 35 years at St Oswald's. We were very luck for all of that time he was our tower Captain, mentor, and teacher. Very well known in the Bell ringing fraternity through out Yorkshire and beyond. Had at one time or another rung every bell in the shire. Ringing and taking part in competitions, and ringing Tours. Bill we will be missing you very much.
