Since leaving Hymers College, Howard Bradley has gone on to set up his own business, Howard Bradley Consulting Ltd, as an Independent Transformation Consultant.  His focus is to help companies succeed, and over the course of his career, he has been instrumental in defining, developing, and executing corporate strategies for clients to help them achieve commercial and financial objectives.

As well as founding his own company, Howard also dedicates his time to helping others, as a Medical Emergency Responder.

As well as living my professional life, choosing to volunteer is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I volunteer as a 999 Medical Emergency Responder for the fabulous charity, LIVES (www.lives.org.uk), who are on a mission to save lives in Lincolnshire here in the UK. We respond to over 80% of 999 calls before an ambulance arrives, we carry out life-saving activities and get ready to hand a patient over to a Paramedic for the next stage of their care.

LIVES recruit, trains, and equips all of its Emergency Responders so they can be there when needed the most, from attending a cardiac arrest to performing life-saving surgery on the roadside.  They are there attending 999 medical emergencies across the whole of Lincolnshire every day. They have over 300 volunteer Emergency Responders who are based within the heart of Lincolnshires communities so they can attend the scene rapidly, arriving before an ambulance 84% of the time. Last year, they attended over 11,000 incidents in Lincolnshire, with their volunteers giving over 67,000 hours to save lives.

Later this year, I'll be taking part in a Dragon Boat Race to help raise much needed funds to keep us going. So if you would buy me a beer sometime, instead of that maybe you could help me to hit my fundraising target? It would be so much appreciated by me and the charity.

The Dragon Boat Festival will be held on Lincoln's Brayford Waterfront on Saturday 17th June 2023. it will see teams engage in the ancient Chinese activity of dragon boat racing.  It was held in ancient times in China to avert misfortune and encourage rain for the prosperity of rice fields, and dragon boat racing is now a popular sport in Asia and beyond.  All proceeds from the day go directly to LIVES.  If you wish to sponsor Howard, please visit his fundraising page below:

Good luck, Howard!
