What makes this nominee inspiring?

Peter has founded or co-founded 14 startups, has invested in 67 early stage technology companies (so far), is a fellow of the Cambridge Judge Management School, is President of the European Business Angel Network (representing a 6+billion Euro industry) and has shared his and many others' entrepreneurial stories in the Invested Investor book, co-founded with one of his sons.

After leaving Hymers in the 1970’s, Peter Cowley gained an MA in Engineering and Computer Science from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University.

Outside of an impressive career which includes, but is not limited to, personal investment in over 65 start-ups, Investment Director of the Marshall of Cambridge, Martlet Corporate Angel division and elected President of the European Business Angels Network in 2018, Peter Cowley is a qualified English Bridge Union tournament director and has climbed the highest points in Africa, South East Asia and Northern Europe. Peter also has a keen interest in squash, real tennis, badminton, racquetball and is a qualified PADI Open Water SCUBA Diver. Not only has he built up a large resume, he also dedicates his time to numerous charities over the span of 15 years. In 2015 Peter Cowley was awarded UK Business Angel of the Year 2014/5, and in 2017 Best Angel in the World by the World Business Angel Investment Forum.
