1940 - 1948
As radio stations were rolled out formally, Michael was appointed to launch Radio Sheffield in 1967. Here he was editor of the show until 1974. He then became Controller of BBC Local Radio for 13 years before going freelance and running a travelling radio festival for the BBC. He then became Director of the BBC Experience.
