Match funding is also known as matched giving. This is an initiative run by many companies that will match an employee's donation to a registered charity up to a specified upper limit.
Each company will have it's own process but is usually very simple and easy to apply for. We have attached a list of companies that we know have previously offered match funding, but we know there are many more. Historically banks and building societies, supermarkets, utility providers, insurance companies, car manufacturers, and phone companies have all been known to offer match funding. Please approach your HR department to find out if they operate this fantastic scheme.
Please spread the word throughout your friendship groups and former classmates, many people are not aware that match funding exists. As a donor, it would only cost a little of your time to complete the application but it is an extremely valuable method of fundraising to us.
