What makes this nominee inspiring?
After developing an interest in languages at Hymers, Graham qualified as a modern language teacher in the mid-70s. Graham has spent all of his working life on the continent, 20 years as a teacher then a training manager in Paris with the last 15 years in Brussels, where he worked for the EU Council of Ministers. After seven years as a translator, Graham moved to policy work, where he helped each 6-monthly Presidency to prepare decisions and initiatives in the education field for adoption by the 27 education ministers from across the Union.
