David's destination after leaving Hymers was to the Brewing Industry and Pro Rugby R.L. He was a former pro rugby league player for 14 years with Hull F.C, then became the Head Coach for Hull F.C. for another 4 years. He then moved to York as the Team Manager for 2 years. David joined the BBC in 1980 as a broadcaster on professional rugby for 27 years providing online commentary for Hull F.C.
