The Hymers College Association is hosting its annual Garden Party for the first time since 2019. It is with great pleasure, I write to invite you with your family, back to Hymers on Saturday 2 July to come and visit the Old Hymerians Association stand that day.
The gates will open at 11 am with a formal cutting of the ribbon by our OH President, Emily Pennack at 12 noon . There will be a broad programme of events suitable for all across the afternoon with plenty of activities for children including inflatables, games, stalls, a cafe, and a BBQ. We will continue the tradition of an Old Hymerians Cricket match, performances from our choir and band students, and the annual Tug of War directed by Mr Exley - whom many of you will remember well.
We are hosting an Old Hymerian tent where there will be an opportunity to buy a selection of our merchandise, see our future event programmes, find out what has been happening at the school and join us for light refreshments. There will also be an opportunity to book to join a guided tour around the school at the following times of 12.30 pm and 13.30 pm, we will meet at the Old Hymerians tent just before these times.
There will be a small entry fee of £2 at the gates and plenty of clearly labeled parking on site on the day. We do hope that you can join us for the afternoon and enjoy your visit back to Hymers. If you intend to come and see us on the day please can you confirm your attendance so we can cater accordingly.
